Professional Certification

Currently there is an environmental management skills gap in the golf industry as individuals with recognized environmental management skills are highly sought after. The need now for Superintendents, Club Managers and Golf Professionals with environmental competence is greater than ever, and those with an environmental management credential can distinguish themselves from the rest.

The e-par® Environmental Management System (EMS) Professional Certification has been developed in conjunction with industry stakeholders toprovideassurance that a Certified individual possesses the competencies deemed necessary to perform the job function of an e-par EMS Certified Professional. The e-par EMS Certified

Professional program has been developed to meet ANSI/ISO/IEC 17024:2003, the “General Requirements for Bodies Operating Certification Systems of Persons” standard.  ISO 17024 is the global benchmark for organizations operating personnel certification programs.  It outlines the methods and procedures required to ensure the objective and unbiased assessment of an individual’s knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Passing the e-par® EMS Professional examination and certification protocols will indicate that the candidate possesses the knowledge, skills, and abilities to embrace strategic environmental management.  To register for professional certification, individuals must be currently using the e-par EMS for Golf at their facility. The initial enrollment fee is $399 for a three-year membership.  Members are re-certified every three years thereafter.
